This is a condensed version of Dr. Shehzad Saleem’s detailed tract: “History of the Quran: A Critical Study.” Like the latter book, this shorter version only deals with the collection and transmission history of the Quran. The present work is meant to provide students of the Quran – who find it daunting to read the voluminous original work – a summary of the study. Footnotes in this abridgment will guide the reader to the original study whenever they want to refer it for details.
