This book is based on the groundbreaking web series "Response to 23 Questions," produced by the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning. In this series, renowned scholar Javed Ahmed Ghamidi addresses key objections to his interpretation of Islam and its application. Manzoor Ul Hassan has meticulously documented the arguments presented in the series and all necessary references for academic purposes.
"Descent of Jesus"
The concept of "Descent of Jesus" consists of four concepts: 'Ascension of Jesus,' 'Life of Jesus,' 'Return of Jesus,' and 'Death of Jesus.' It means that when the Jews wanted to crucify Jesus (PBUH), Allah lifted him alive towards the sky. Near the Day of Judgment, he will return to earth, kill the Antichrist (Dajjal), and then pass away. Javed Ahmed Ghamidi accepts the ascension of Jesus but considers the idea of his being lifted alive contrary to the Quran. As for the concept of his physical descent, he regards it as questionable due to the problems that arise when interpreting the narratives of Jesus's descent in the light of the Quran and the principles of Hadith interpretation. However, he accepts these narratives but interprets them in the light of the narration of Abdullah bin Masood. According to it, Jesus himself told during the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) ascension that he would descend before the Day of Judgment and kill the Antichrist (Dajjal).

"Splitting of the Moon"
The event of the moon splitting into two parts occurred during the Prophethood. It is mentioned in the initial verses of Surah Al-Qamar (54) and detailed in many Hadiths. Most commentators of the Quran and Hadith include it among the miracles of Prophethood and attribute its occurrence to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Some other scholars, such as Maulana Syed Abul A'la Maududi and Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi, consider it one of Allah's signs but do not apply the common term of miracle to it. They believe that including it among the miracles of Prophethood is not correct from a scientific and terminological perspective. Javed Ahmed Ghamidi also holds this view. Thus, he considers the moon splitting an observable event and a manifestation of the complete power of the Creator. He believes this event was a sign of Allah supporting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a warning to his deniers.
"Isra and Miraj"
The common belief about "Isra and Miraj" is that it was a single journey that took place at night while awake, starting from the Masjid al-Haram and ending at the Masjid al-Aqsa, and then ascending to the highest heavens. According to Javed Ahmed Ghamidi, it was not a single event but four different events: the 'Event of Isra,' the 'Event of Sidra,' the 'Event of Qaba Qausain,' and the 'Event of Miraj.' Two of these occurred in a state of vision, and two in a state of wakefulness. These four events are from Allah, their nature is of divine signs, and their reality is that of revelation and inspiration. The news, information, events, and observations mentioned in them relate to the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) position of Prophethood and Messengerhood. They should be understood in this context and limited to the understanding of texts. There should be no speculation or storytelling about them, nor should human sciences and experiences be used as a basis for denying them.
