1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any website, program, digital platform, or service operated by GCIL (“Services”), you agree to these Terms.

Where required, users must affirmatively accept these Terms through a click-through or similar mechanism.

If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

2. Nonprofit Nature of Organization

GCIL is a nonprofit religious and educational organization.
Services are provided for informational, charitable, and educational purposes only.

Participation does not create any professional advisory relationship.

3. Eligibility and Minor Participation

Users must be:

  • 18 years or older, or
  • Using Services under supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents/guardians accept responsibility for minors’ use of Services.

GCIL does not guarantee continuous supervision in online environments.

4. User Accounts

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain confidentiality of credentials
  • Notify GCIL of unauthorized access

We may suspend accounts to protect platform integrity or safety.

5. Donations and Charitable Contributions

Donations:

  • Are voluntary charitable contributions
  • May be used for general charitable purposes unless restricted in writing
  • Do not create entitlement to specific program outcomes

Donations are generally non-refundable except:

  • Duplicate transactions
  • Processing errors
  • Where required by applicable law

Tax deductibility depends on donor circumstances.

6. Courses, Programs, and Subscriptions

GCIL may:

  • Modify content
  • Reschedule programs
  • Replace instructors
  • Discontinue offerings

This does not constitute breach of contract.

Refund eligibility is governed by published refund policies.

No guarantee is made regarding educational or spiritual outcomes.


7. Acceptable Use

Users shall not:

  • Violate laws
  • Harass or threaten others
  • Upload malicious software
  • Infringe intellectual property
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Misrepresent GCIL or its scholars
  • Use automated scraping, AI training extraction, or bulk downloading tools

GCIL may remove content or terminate access without notice.


8. Intellectual Property

All materials including lectures, translations, books, graphics, recordings, and digital content are protected by copyright and other laws.

Users receive limited, non-transferable license for personal educational use only.

Commercial use, redistribution, AI dataset harvesting, or derivative works are prohibited.

9. User-Generated Content

Users grant GCIL a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and moderate submitted content.

GCIL may remove content that violates law, policy, or community standards.

10. Educational and AI Disclaimer

Content is educational and informational only.

GCIL does not provide:

  • Legal advice
  • Financial advice
  • Personal religious rulings

AI tools may assist in content production; accuracy is not guaranteed.

Users must exercise independent judgment.


11. Third-Party Services

Services may rely on:

  • Payment processors
  • Cloud hosting
  • Video platforms
  • Communication tools

GCIL is not liable for third-party outages or policies.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Texas and Florida law:

GCIL shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or opportunity
  • Decisions based on educational content
  • Service interruptions or cyber incidents

Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of:

  • Amount paid by user in prior 12 months, or
  • USD $100.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.


13. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCIL and its affiliates from claims arising from:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Misuse of Services
  • Infringement of third-party rights
  • Illegal conduct


14. Force Majeure

GCIL is not responsible for failure or delay caused by:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions
  • Utility failures
  • Cyberattacks
  • Epidemics or pandemics
  • War or civil unrest
  • Vendor service outages

15. Privacy and Data Rights, and Resident-Specific Rights

Use of Services is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion of personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. GCIL does not sell personal information. To submit a California privacy request, contact admin@almawridus.org.

Texas Residents: Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To submit a request, contact admin@almawridus.org.

Florida Residents: Florida residents may have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights. To submit a request, contact admin@almawridus.org.

Other Jurisdictions: Residents of other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable local laws. Please contact us to learn more about rights that may apply to you.

Use of Services is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

16. Accessibility

GCIL is committed to ensuring that its website and digital services are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our accessibility efforts include:

Termination does not affect accrued legal rights.


18. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by laws of the State of Texas.

For users residing in Florida, consumer disputes may also be subject to mandatory protections under Florida law.

Venue for litigation shall be Denton County, Texas, unless arbitration applies.


19. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Where permitted:

  • Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA)
  • Arbitration shall occur in Denton County, Texas
  • Parties waive right to jury trial and class actions

Each party shall bear its own legal costs unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.


20. Changes to Terms

GCIL may update Terms periodically.

Material changes will be communicated where feasible.

Continued use constitutes acceptance.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of GCIL Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

Nothing in this section limits GCIL’s right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
